Before breakfast we headed directly to the Grand Place to
see if the tapestry was still there. The
original design had been printed on large sheets of plastic and they were using
the plastic to wrap up the flowers and mulch.
There were still a number of “bags” of the flowers all bundled up and
the sweeper were out but the beautiful art was gone.
After bidding the Grand Place goodbye we were off for a last
breakfast of Belgium waffles, fruit, whipped cream and chocolate. So decadent.
Then it was off to the airport to catch our plane to Athens and then on
to Greece.
