Today all of our new acquaintances and friends are
disembarking to head off on other travels or home. There were only a few of us staying on for a second week. We got to watch while the crew set up an assembly line to pass provisions down to the ship
Then they took us out on a tour out into the countryside to the town of Godollo where we saw the very pretty little train station...
caught very brief glimpses of the Godollo Palace...
and on to the Lazar Horse Show. The Lazar Brothers own a horse farm and are world known for their carriage racing and dressage. They first took us for a carriage ride through some of the surrounding forested areas and then dropped us off at their mini-zoo that featured animals unique too or indicative of Hungary.
They then put on a display of carriage driving...
and horsemanship...

including one man riding standing up on two horses while controlling a total of five horses.
The Hungarians are known for their ability with the whip so they needed to include some of that.
They had a donkey...
and ran an ox cart across the field.
They had a huge family style lunch waiting for us.
One the way back we saw more of Budapest...caught very brief glimpses of the Godollo Palace...

and the Danube.
This evening we were treated to a second illumination cruise. The boat turned round and headed downstream of the main part of the city and then turned around and headed back up. This cruise by was just as beautiful as the first time
